How Do I Create an RSS Feed?

There are two typical ways of creating an RSS feed
Your Media Hosting Company
You should be using a media hosting company like Libsyn.com (use the promo code sopfree to get a free month) and they provide you with an RSS feed.
WordPress/PowerPress
Powerpress is a plugin from Blubrry (a media hosting company) that will create an RSS feed. You can use PowerPress with any media host. It is well-maintained and updated on a regular basis.
While the PowerPress plugin is well managed, I personally worry about hosting my feed on WordPress because:
It is such a popular platform it is often the target of hackers
Not all plugins play nice together and conflicts can cause issues with your podcast
Now, this rarely happens, but if you use PowerPress ALWAYS have a backup of your podcast (even if you don't use PowerPress). I recommend ManageWP for that, and if you get popular you might check out podcastmirror.com which can take some of the strain off your site by hosting your feed.
Always Be Able To Redirect
When choosing a media host, you always want to make sure you can create what is called a "301 redirect" so no matter how you make your feed, be sure you can redirect it in the future.
